Q & A: A MINI-INTERVIEWQ: Tell me about yourself.
A: I've been in the construction and real estate industries for a number of years. I find this field interesting. As a consequence of the recent economic downturn, I've expanded my repertoire to include a variety of different aspects of construction accounting and administration. In the long run, I am proud that I have remained flexible in today's challenging business environment. Q: What's your work style? A: I take ownership of my work. I'm dedicated and persistent in completing every task I'm responsible for. I like new challenges. I like to work in an environment of team efforts. Every team has its own dynamic, and I find interacting with different kinds of people rewarding. On the other hand, I also work very well on my own. Q: Name a strength and a weakness. A: My strength is that I'm thorough and organized. My weakness is that I'm a very hard worker. I tend to give every task equal weight, and sometimes I work too hard. Q: What accomplishments are you proud of? A: Without hesitation I would say I'm most proud of my two years of service for the Peace Corps in the Republic of Togo (West Africa) from 2002 to 2004. It was without a doubt the most interesting and praiseworthy thing I have ever done. It was a great character-building experience from which I learned valuable lessons I have been easily able to apply to business situations every day. Since returning from West Africa, I have made an ongoing commitment to make volunteering a part of my personal life. I have been part of several wonderful organizations, including the Denver Dumb Friends League/US Humane Society; Colorado Coalition for the Homeless; Habitat for Humanity Builders' Blitz 2006; Father Joe's Villages; and most recently Partners Therapeutic Horsemanship. |
